This workshop offers an interactive space for in-depth dialogue and exchange of ideas on researching immigrant populations. We begin with presentations of specific projects, highlighting methodological approaches by Fungisai Gwanzura Ottemöller and other contributors. In the second half of the workshop, participants will engage in discussions around three interconnected themes: self-reflexivity, epistemic justice, and the challenges of conducting qualitative research with immigrants in today’s polarized political climate. The workshop aims to foster critical reflection, share practical insights, and explore strategies for more inclusive and ethically grounded research.
